I met Marie through her sister several years ago. Fun fact: we are very distantly related. Marie asked me to drive to a little riverside town a couple of hours away from our home to take their engagement pictures. I met them at a quaint coffee shop for a quick chat before we started shooting.

The first thing that struck me about Marie & Aaron is their joy for life & each other. The way they looked at each other over just a cup of coffee fueled the fire for one of my favorite engagement sessions to date.

Needless to say, we were elated to get to work with them again for their wedding. I met Marie at their reception venue in the morning for some quick getting ready pictures. Then we rode on a trolley to the church where Marie shared a sweet & emotional first look with her dad, followed by an intimate moment with her husband-to-be.

When the music played & Marie walked down the aisle, we, of course, snagged some photographs of Aaron's reaction. The look on his face was pure pride to see Marie walking towards him. (This is the part where I always cry.)

After the ceremony, we ran around town snapping pictures & even stopped for a quick drink at this SWEET art deco bar before returning to the reception venue. A signature cocktail, emotional first dances, hilarious toasts, & a bumpin' dance party topped off the night!
